VIDEO PRODUCTION AND EDITING
The following is a collection of my first and most meaningful video projects. Each piece is unique in style and content and represents a distinct moment during my semester. I hope you enjoy my work and I invite you to contact me with any questions.

This was my first ever video project. The following video contains shots of numerous objects throughout the city of Pittsburgh. Each object was shot at five different focal lengths: extreme long shot, Long shot, medium shot, close up, and extreme close up.
All camera and editing was performed by me. I used a VJ kit for the camera shots.
What I learned from this project was how to make your video look proper. I learned that if you take shots of a object at different lengths it can tell a different story. It also makes it impossible for jump cuts.

My third project was a interview about Provident Charter school's afterschool program. It was a inside look on how the afterschool program operates.
I did the camera work, editing, and question making. I used a VJ kit for all of the shots. I used the microphone within the VJ kit and the microphone built in the camera for audio.
What I learned from this project was how to put multiple parts together to make one story. I did not have too much interviewing experience. So, I had to figure out how to mush three different perspectives and make them fit together to create a story.
Form my fourth project I did random shots of objects. All of my shots at different lengths and angles.
I did all the camera work and editing. I used a VJ kit for the shots and royalty free music for the audio.
This project taught me how to use more transitions. Up to this point, the only transition that I used was dip to black. In this project I used more than 10 different kinds of transitions.
For my final project I paid tribute to The Office (US). Instead of taking a look at the daily activities of a office, I decided to do a class of fourth grade students.

I used a VJ kit for my shots. For my audio, I used the microphone, the built in microphone in the camera, and a version of the office theme song. I also wrote the script.

This project taught e how to adjust to situations, work with what you have, and allow editing to only help your project. In this project I had to deal with a lot of changes to both the cast and the script. I had to make edit after edit until I was satisfied with the final outcome. The fact that I completed this project told me that I can do anything.
My second project was a Public Service Announcement. The goal of my PSA was to get the city of Pittsburgh to recycle more.

All camera work and editing was performed by me. I used a VJ kit for the shots and royalty free music for the audio.
What I learned from this project was how to tell a story. I was just only focused on getting great shot, but when I put it all together it did not make sense. As I went through the shots I started to put them in order in a way where it would make sense to the public.
